Amazing staff and serene atmosphere made my stay memorable. The pool needs regular cleaning.

honestly, i was expecting so much more from this place. the pool was not only tiny, it was embarrassingly dirty. and since no one seemed to remember me, i had to beg for clean towels, which is simply unacceptable for a so-called hotel. i almost gave a good review, but just couldn’t overlook these issues.

Swahili architectural style, varied seating options, good WiFi connection
The swimming pool could be larger for more comfort!!! The nighttime sounds from mosques and donkeys can disturb sleep, maybe some soundproofing would help!!! A few more dining options nearby would also enhance the experience!!!

Spacious suite with a serene ambiance. The staff, especially Caro, were wonderfully attentive yet respectful of my space. Enjoyed tasty fruits at breakfast and breathtaking sunset views from the balcony (truly a highlight! ).
Encountered some ants in the room (common in Lamu, I guess) and felt a tad self-conscious passing by shops at night as a solo female traveler.

I stayed in the Single Room with Bathroom for 7 nights, and it was cozy! The room was clean and well-kept, and the shared spaces were peaceful to relax in. I loved having my own bathroom, and the view from the balcony was a lovely touch. They offered delicious breakfast options too! The only downside was that the room felt a bit dated, and I noticed some ants, which is pretty common in places like Lamu.

Recommend it for families with children
We had a warm welcome by the host, and the room we chose had an amazing balcony with views, perfect for evening chill time. The chef made a tasty crab dish, the best I've had, and he even showed us how to cook it, beautiful experience.
It wasn't inexpensive, but still acceptable.

Perfect desert getaway with great locals
Had an amazing time chilling by the pool and enjoying some awesome home-cooked meals. Karisa whipped up the best local dishes that you'll crave for days after. The vibes were totally relaxing, but the nighttime mosque calls could get a bit much sometimes. Still, the staff made our stay really special and personal, which I loved!
